At the Konjac Plant Base in Gonghe Village, Muxi Town, the reporter saw that the 250 mu of land was purplish red after being sorted out. The villagers used farming equipment to dig furrows and ridges. One ridge passed through the plowed land. After spreading the base fertilizer and sterilization, more than 30 villagers lined up in a row, holding special small hoes in hand, sowing konjac seeds one by one. On the contiguous flat land, farming machines, and tools are plowing back and forth, and the villagers are busy, forming a busy picture of spring planting and farming.

The planting of konjac in Gonghe Village
The planting of konjac in Gonghe Village is only a microcosm of the cultivation of konjac by the masses of the county. Right now, in Dibao, Yongfu, Muxi, and other townships, villagers can be seen everywhere busy planting konjac during the farming season.
It is understood that during the “14th Five-Year Plan” period, our county regards konjac as one of the three characteristic agricultural industries, and guides owners and villagers to vigorously develop konjac cultivation through the implementation of agricultural subsidies such as policies, funds, agricultural machinery and tools, and construction of winter greenhouses.

In 2021, a total of nearly 7 million yuan of subsidy funds will be paid, 23 million yuan of agricultural security loans will be implemented, and agricultural technology experts and research teams from colleges and universities will be invited to provide technical guidance to overcome technical problems such as konjac overwintering.
